Sherry, I carry Trojan deep cycle batteries here in the trolling motor shop I've sold quite a few with a two year warranty and none have come back yet. I've used them myslf and they perform fine. Trojan makes a gell cell about 1/2 the size of a EV24 but if you can fit the 24 wet I'd recommend it.. Dave@Pepperell
