Thanks for the update on your wiring problem.  I'm sure others may
find your information useful in the event of "mystery" wiring
problems.  I am amazed at the strange wiring I have found on various
trailers.  I have a file where all of these "solutions" go.

Thought I'd follow up.  Turns out whoever wired the connection from
the trailer to the auto 6-way plug either had way too little
information or way too much to drink
