Curtis,
You are correct, all fridges can be laid on their side, front, or back. Both 
need to be sat upright for 24 hours after laid down. On compressor models, 
the compressor oil floods the heads and must drain off and back to the crank 
case before operated. On absorption models, the liquid needs to drain back 
into the receiver after flooding throughout the sealed system.
