Make sure the cooling unit (coil) on the back of the fridge is very close to the wall. Like 1/2" or less, just enough to avoid contact. If the new fridge is shallower than the old and you want its door face to line up with the cabinetry, install a spacer board on the wall to take up the excess. Al ----- Original Message ----- Tom, Sure you can. Everybody does. Keep away from pump while fueling. Propane on a fridge lasts forever. Few people by a 3 way. I lamented, but after talking to really experienced folks like Tom Patterson, I bought the 2 way just like you and I am glad I did. By the way, nothing is going to work without that little battery feeding the 12 volts. Just get a couple of wires and a car battery, watch that polarity, and plug the thing in the wall. It'll cool sitting in your garage. When you get to the RV park, Just plug in your coach. All is automatic. Same when you leave. All automatic and nothing to switch or to do. You will love your new fridge. The little gel cell batteries are a dark charcoal grey. You have seen them, but just don't remember right now. Go ahead and install the fridge now. There is lot's of room to put in the battery and connect after a complete installation. New fridge is better and safer. Make sure your chimney above fridge is open and not leaking. The fridge needs no fan behind it in the hole. The open lower louver door and roof vent creates a great chimney effect. All is well. Just cook up that thar 'Possum Stew, connect the fridge and get her chilled down overnight, and put the stew in thar. Enjoy! -Eddie- Houston, TX
