Chlorine in water - carcinogen concern The carcinogen concern is over chlorine combining with industrial wastes in the municipal water supply. If the tank is filled and the tank and pipes are then flushed thoroughly there is little chlorine residue left. Gets the propylene glycol (RV antifreeze) out, too.
