Hi Glyn:
OK, good explanation; and now I remember the saga of the cast-in logo
you went thru. I think you better sent a personal email to send the
pics.

Jo Ann,
Essentially once the welt is in the track, you should be able to
walk
along the side of your Bubble and pull the canvas welt along the track
using
the draw string. The pole idea is a thought I had to act as a longer
hand
up at the welt as it goes into the track. It would be used as a means
of
aligning the welt with the track horizontally as without the pole the
welt
would want to sag and bind at the beginning of the track. The pole
would be
used as a pusher so to speak, pushing the welt horizontally and in
line with
the track.
Some time before, I added an Airstream access door behind the
curbside
wheel allowing use of the space under the aft berth for the first time
and
as such, could not mount the lower Zip Dee aft arm six or so inches
above
the belt line as is he norm. I bought some extra upper arms and
lengthened
the bottom arms enough to allow me to mount them on the belt line,
thereby
avoiding the access door. Please see the attached images and it will
all
become clear.
