Oops - I blew it - so what should I use in lieu of the removable links?

Can-Am RV, the airstream dealer in Ontario spot welds the hitch ball
to the trunnion after is is tightened up. Probabaly a good idea. Also
don't use those removable links to connect the safety chains to the
tow vehicle. those links are not rated to much more that 750 lbs and
the trailers weigh upwards of 3500 lbs.
