[VAL] Re:1963 Safari black tank valve rebuild

In stripping my 63 Safari the black tank and everything else was removed. In 63 they used a
brass slide valve built into a brass dump valve with two grey water pvc pipes tied in. In
trying to get parts to rebuild everyone said it was obsolete and I should redo with a adapter
plate and use a present day plastic valve . Having enough problems I tried Mcmaster Carr and
ordered the some parts Monday. They arrived Tuesday and fit perfect.
I would like to thank Dr. Gerald Johnson for his reminders to try McMaster-Carr.
Total cost with shipping $27.
A rebuilt brass valve has to last longer than a plastic replacement.
