Re: [VAL] FW: broken door lock

Forrest,

My trailer was broken into on the storage lot and they pried the
lock open, breaking it in the process. I looked high and low for a replacement
and finally settled on Andy's replacement kit from Inland RV. The cost was
less than $200.00 and it took me about 2 hours to install. The only reason it
took so long is because I kept double checking measurements before I cut into
the door. I did have to fabricate a bracket for the jamb side for the latch.
The finished product will look great as soon as I buy a rivet shaver.

Good
Luck,

Brett

FW: broken door lock

Wow, that's a lot of money. I'm sure there
must be a better and less
expensive solution. I'll pass this on to Tom
Patterson's VAList and I bet
one of the participants can tell us.
