Sarah,
From the front, buck rivets are solid and rounded, pop rivets have a
hole in the center where the center step is pulled out of the rivet.
Pop rivets are easier to remove as you can drill them out with a 1/8"
drill bit. I found that the easiest way to remove buck rivets is to
grind off the rounded head, taking care not to grind the panel and then
take a putty knife behind the sheet and hit it with a hammer. From the
back, buck rivets look like a small cylinder and pop rivets look like a
toggle bolt which has been pulled into a wall.
Buck rivets make more work to disassemble, but are more secure. The
outside of your trailer is held together with buck rivets.
Hope this helps.

>Bill -- can you distinguish a buck rivet from a pop rivet for me so I would know
>what I was looking at if I saw one? Or at least what is different about them --
>I gather the buck rivets mean less work in disassembly somehow?
