[VAL] What year?

Hi just bought a trailer on a lein sale.  Paperwork says 1963 Flying cloud.  
I think it's older than that.

It has leaf springs, recessed Bargman 9 tailghts,  rear bed with bath/toilet 
on streetside forward of the bed but behind the galley.

The serial number is on a small 11/2 X 2  plate, and the number is  8431

Anybody know what year?  I think a 1957.
