It does not sound good. 60 degrees is not safe. Did you open the refrig at 
any point between noon and 4? While a fan mounted inside the refrig to 
circulate the cold air may help, and another fan to cool the coils down on 
the outside may help a bit more I don't know that they will help enough. 
Instead of completely giving up on your old Dometic I would attempt to have 
it rebuilt. While I do not have info on who rebuilts them, I believe that it 
has been discussed before.
