Hi Chris,
Unfortunately, a used propane fridge is usually also a dead one. A
standard one for an RV will run you $900 to $1000, so most people don't
replace theirs until it is dead.

This outfit will sell you the guts so you can build your own, dunno what
the price is, but if you are doing something where you need a lot of
fridge, you may be better off. Even the biggest RV fridge is pretty puny
compared to home ones.
If you call RV salvage yards, you might get lucky on a unit from a
wreck, obviously, it doesn't need to be an Airstream.
