I have yet to find a way to "repair" the later model vista views without breaking
the inner pane. 1974 was apparently the last year for the snap out inner pane, with
possibly a few making it into the 75's. Supposedly you can remove the entire window
from the trailer, drill out the rivets holding the frame together, separate the
aluminum frame dismantle the window clean and reassemble. The frame is held together
at the bottom with a steel insert between the extrusions. I tried to take a broken one
I had a part with no success. I damaged the frame when attempting to separate it. YMMV.
Also be careful when cracking the inner pane...it is expensive if you over shoot...don't
ask me know I know...
