I checked the archives and haven't found what I'm looking for. I have a
recently acquired '77 31' center bath. It has a few problems that I need to
address. First, the water tank has a couple of leaks. I pulled it out and
there are three cracks in the poly. Not sure what type of poly it is, but
previous epoxy repairs have failed. Has anyone had any luck with the poly
welding tools available? If not, any idea where to get a replacement? It
is a very unique shape and size, about 5' square with a rectangular hole in
the middle of the tank.
I've seen some information about repairing the oblong vista windows, but
everything I've seen says I have to break the inside window and live with a
single pane window after re-sealing the outer. I thought I saw a repair
procedure somewhere in the past that was able to salvage the inner window
and reinstall it. Maybe I was dreaming. Anyway, if anyone can help it
will certainly be appreciated.
BTW,
Once I get the '31 roadworthy, I will probably have to part with my '68 28'
Ambassador. I did a lot of work on the trailer, but I just don't have a
reason to keep two trailers. We prefer the rear bedroom in the 31 so the 28
will have to go. There are some pictures on Tom's site. It may be a while,
but let me know if anyone is interested. we certainly prefer to put her in
the hands of an airstreamer.
