I don't understand either, that's why I looked at those diagrams in the
first place. But not knowing which, if any, applied to you I gave up quick.
One mine, the only reason for 12V at all, is to operate the piezo igniter
which is a huge improvement over the Zippo type flint arrangement on my old
Dometic M52.
