Re: [VAL] Re: Dirty walls

Both Zolotone and the vinyl clad aluminum sheeting used in Airstream
interiors have a considerable texture to them, so using a brush is a big
help. I used Simple Green (with open windows ) and for stubborn places
Goof off (open windows and a fan ) So far no stickiness on my "73. Most
of the stuff that gets stuck to the walls is based on cooking grease,
and the tar from cigarettes, plus just general dirt and dust that has
stick to the grease. Both Ammonia and Simple Green are good degreasers,
but you need to leave it on there for a while. I have also had good
luck with Murphey's Oil Soap, although it is so mild that I don't under
stand why it works so well. It is safe for wood, does not attack latex
paint the way ammonia can, and doesn't have noxious fumes.
