Jay,

You should really consider joining the WBCCI which will allow you the 
ability to join the Vintage Airstream Club.  There is a good chance, 
provided your trailer numbers are un-assigned that the club will issue 
you the same number.  Caveats assigning numbers are that WBCCI allows 
previous club members a couple of years to retain their numbers should 
their membership lapse.  New red numbers are provided by the club upon 
joining.
