Just a thought, but another way to look at this is safety in an aluminum 
shell airplane or jet.  We have all seen pictures of airplanes struck by 
lightning on TV.  They are a very safe place to be.  Actually cars are 
fairly safe too.  I guess having your safety chains on the ground couldn't 
hurt.  It is not likely the lightning will flash through the shell.  Do 
unplug everything as Dr. G says.
