[VAL] 1961 Bambi Comode Problems

I have an Aqua Magic Galaxy Md. 30. It is very slow flowing around the
bowl. The sprayer is woking again and it will for the time being, permit me
to do the re-install.

When I pulled the unit, I found that the steel flange had previously
been broken. The bolt that would have normally held the rear of the stool to
the floor had been replace by a lag screw. I have modified a portion of an
old ring to replace the broken flange. The stool is sealed with a standard
Wax ring.
Was the use of a wax ring a common practice in the older trailers?

This brings me to my next question. What is the procedure for removing
tha old flang and installing a new one. This one will serve for now, but if
I ever need to do floor work or replace the Black tank what can I do? It
sort of fits the old adage of "if it don"t stink don't stir it". Any
comments on this will be helpful.

Has anyone replaced the dump valve on this year trailer?

If so what type and is there a source mfg?

      Thank you,
      Martin and Rachel Hughey
