That sounds like a good idea. Especially with the
limited size of the holding tank, although I think, to
maintain a large enough volume to allow for proper
"off loading," I may want to maintain some way of
increasing the volume. Maybe a bucket of water from
the sink or tub. I just sprayed the mechanism with a
silicone/graphite spray(for motorcycle cables)and will
see if that will help, but in the long run the sprayer
sounds like the best way to go.
