You should start with listening to the last two episodes of theVAP.

In episode 16 we talk about how Airstreams are put together and how to seperate the shell 
from the chassis to repair frame damage and replace the floor.

In episode 17 we talk with two non-professional restorers, just regular guys, who did a 
complete shell off restoration, and tell how it worked out for them.  In fact, one of the 
trailers is a '63 Overlander.
