Hi Warren:

What you didn't exactly say is whether the original fridge is still in place
in the trailer or was it removed when it was "replaced" by the dorm fridge?
If it is still there, it would have a substantial inventory of ammonia in it
since that is the "refrigerant" in older RV absorbtion fridges such as the
original Dometic.  And very likely is the culprit.
