Re: [VAL] Airconditioner rebuilders

Bill,
Don't spend too much time on the clean up, do the best you can on the
outside with the comb and the dirt, turn it on and if it responds, you did
good and you can clean up the rest of it. Don't forget, one little cheapy
bad capacitor can stop everything. Get a big sheet of cardboard for scooting
and a couple of kids to lift the old one off and put the new one on. The
installation is much easier than it might appear. It's easier on the check
book.

The new units use a scroll-type compressor. They are much less power hungry
with high EER which matters for that always insufficient RV hook up, don't
heat up and melt your RV plug, and two run like one on motorhome generators.

Carrier at last, got into the RV ac market in mid 2005! The new Carriers are
going to be a welcome challenge for Coleman and DuoTherm in the market. You
will see more changes as R-22 is phased out and the impending moritorium
deadline approaches.
