[VAL] Re: (VAL) Water tank opening

Allen,

I can't picture there being an opening directly to your water supply.
Are you talking about the rectangular opening that allows access to the
drain valves etc?
If indeed you have an opening to your water tank, then probably
something went amiss.
You should have the following lines: thick freshwater fill hose, going
from the outside water fill into the tank; suction hose for the water
pump, going from the tank through a strainer to the water pump inlet;
possibly several vent hoses, and a drain fitting with drain valve for
letting go of fresh water if so desired. Right outside teh opening in
the floor there sholud be a fair amount of fresh water plumbing and
associated valves.
Most floors were indeed made of 5/8 plywood, some movement in the form
of deflection is normal and anticipated.
