Carol and Rob: I replaced the drop axle of my '56 Bubble with a straight 
Dexter axle with electric brakes. Raised the trailer an inch or two and 
seems fine. That's about the same milage I get with my Tundra and about 
the same performance. I think perhaps a different gearing set-up would 
be an improvement in pulling power being used more efficiently.
