Kathy, have you been inside the airstream as is?  I would think that the 
aluminum body, fiberglass insulation and real wood cabinets would be safe.  As far 
as chemicals,  there are alteratives.  You wouldn't have to put them in the 
toilet holding tank but it would be helpful to put in a solids digesting 
enzyme,  maybe the unscented type that people flush down there toilets to condition 
there home weptic tanks.
