[VAL] Airstream sighting
Friday I went to the Elnora, IN tractor show which is very popular and
offers many permanent displays. Anyway, in prowling the grounds I
spotted some aluminum off in the distance. It was in the trailer area
where vendors and participants park their vehicles for the show.
Upon close inspection, this appears to be a fairly well maintained 1956
Safari, not perfect, just an old well maintained camper. I walked
around it and found the owner reclining in the shade of a large tree.
He told me he bought the Airstream three years ago. He replaced the
axle and tires and the outside running lights wiring. He then took it
to Alaska with no problems along the way. Now, he says, he's just
enjoying it. Another interesting feature is that it's being towed by a
beautifully restored 1965 White truck with Michigan plates.
If you are interested in a pic of this unusual combination, I can
E-Mail a pic to you, just ask.
See you down by the barn . . . .
