    Too bad about the limited space beneath the flooring your replacing.
The 4" wide, 3/4" plywood strips I used are the way to go along with Tite
Bond glue and screws.

    Here's a link to the Gougeon Bros., makers of West System products.
http://www.gougeon.com/  Give them a shout and ask about laying flooring and
mastic over their epoxy.  My feeling is that they'll tell you to go ahead
and do it though.
