[VAL] generators and heaters

You wrote that you have a battery that can run the heat all night w/o the  
generator.  I hate to be so slow about this stuff but---is this a special  
battery?  Do you get it going with the generator or are you saying that  it's 
charged after driving from your TV battery?  What sort of heater are  you then able 
to run?  Electric?  Do you have a Caravel?  So I  would need to have an 
electrician look at my wiring to make sure it's  copper?  I think most of the AS 
was re-done in the 80s.  BUT that  heater under the stove looks ancient. I am in 
upstate New York and would be  traveling in this area and New England during 
the fall...temps down to high 30s  at night.  Maybe I can just snuggle with 
the Labs and a sleeping bag.
 
 
There is a CO detector in the trailer so maybe the previous owner used the  
heater but he was in La, not NY.
