Gasoline has more BTUs -- when converted to run on propane, a vehicle (a 
truck, IME) has less power than when it ran on gasoline. But propane is 
cleaner -- the engine stays cleaner internally. And you might want to 
consider the relative cost of the two fuels, if that is a consideration 
for you.
