Re: [VAL] gas light

Joe,
I don't know which trailer your talking about but the gas light was very
popular in
the fifties and early sixties before they really had 12v lighting. A
lighting trick they
used to do was remove a 120v bulb from one of the trailer light fixtures,
screw in a 6v or 12v house hold size bulb (depending on the voltage of the tow
car) and plug into an extension cord with battery clamps on the car battery.

Its nice having a gas light so that you can boondock without running down
your batteries or for emergencys. They do put out a lot of heat which is great
in chilly weather but can be rough on a summer's eve without a breeze. Be sure
to have
a roof vent open and a window cracked and it should be just as safe over
night on low as running any other gas appliance.
