[VAL] holes in belly pan

Hi,

There are a couple of holes in the belly pan of my 61 Bambi. They are 
about 1" in diameter and there is a small split where the frame may be 
poking through. Can I patch these with fibreglass? I am much more at 
home with that kind of bodywork than with a pop riveter. Or are there 
any other kinds of quick fix that would do until I get braver - duct 
tape maybe ???
