[VAL] Battered Bambi?

Please help me settle a debate.  A friend sent a picture of a little trailer
which has obviously seen better days.  He thinks it's somebody's homespun
attempt to build his own Airstream.  I think it's an Airstream which had a
really rough day.

Any input will be appreciated, and might help put the controversy to bed.
