[VAL] RE: VAL Digest V2 #287
Dear Valist:
The cold winters of the northeast are very hard on soft copper plumbing.
I got so fed up with fresh water tank problems on my 1969 27 footer (like
floods when various pipes broke) that I pulled it out and will now go
tankless. Save some weight too. So I now have an almost intact original
tank sitting in the yard. It does not leak, but the fill inlet is now only
about 1 1/2 inches long. It broke off on my last trip probably due to
vibration and flooded the whole front end,.
The water pump is heading for Ebay - but in the opinion of all you
experienced Airstreamers - should I junk the tank or should I also put it up
for sale?
Thanks
Ed
