[VAL] Looking for a dead short in clearance lights

All,

Where would you start looking for a dead short in the clearance 
lights.  Front to back or back to front.  Had a pro rewire now no 
clearance lights.  Will have to remove the interior new walls. Walls 
are like the new ccd's all ALluminum.  Will not be nice.  Suggestions?
