[VAL] Electric Question - Ground

I am presently installing a new 110 volt system.  I remember 
something about problems with the ground.  The frame is the ground 
for the 12 volt system.  Should the 110 volt ground be isolated and 
not use the same ground.  It seems that the installer in installing 
ground fault outlets has tied the ground to the box which would 
connect it to the frame therefore using the same ground.  Would this 
also apply to the breaker box. Isolate the ground from the frame here 
also?
