[VAL] My Armstrong AC

The compressor on my Armstrong AC is not kicking in.  The blower fan 
works, but not the compressor.  Yesterday I took the cover off and 
tried the rubber hammer on the compressor, to no avail.  It started 
raining and I did not get into the electrical box.  I will work on that 
this afternoon.  As I recall from previous messages, there is a relay 
or capacitor that kicks on the compressor.  There is what appears to be 
an inset capacitor (oval cover snapped on) on the compressor and a 
rectangular electrical box nearby.  Any suggestions?  Ned Digh (1975 AS
