Hi John,
 
Try Looking under the bottom of the cover where it comes out from the trailer. 
There should be a screw in the middle of the back of the lower cover. If the 
cover has been pushed in it may be in the fold of the collapsed portion of the 
metal flange. Its easy to overlook. The cover should pull out from the bottom 
and lift up off the exhaust tube.
