[VAL] Caravel Electrics

To All,
I'm replacing the transformer (converter) in my '66 Caravel with an
Intelli-power unit.  There are six wires going INTO the old unit: two bring
the 110VAC, two go to the lights, and what are the OTHER two? I thought they
would be the 110VAC for the outlets, but when I apply (safely) 12VDC to them
and use a meter at the outlet, no voltage at all. What am I missing?
