If you can't use the arms on your awning,  Carefree of Colorado still makes 
awning
arms of several types including A/S and Argosy, and they don't charge extra.  
Contact a local RV repair service and ask them if they carry Carefree awnings 
and tell them you need a set of 02- awning arms.  

For those of you with vintage Airstreams,  if you order a new awning or 
replacement roller and fabric,  it will cost more but order one with a aluminum 
weather guard and
the Sunbrella acrylic faric and you can chose from almost 100 colors and 
color combinations of old fashioned stripes in vintage '50's and '60's fabrics.  
For my
'58 trailer, I chose one with salmon pink with aqua and grey stripes!
