[VAL] Split rims

Growing up on the farm we changed split rim tires as a matter of course.
Grandad always would wrap a log chain 2 or 3 times trough the center of the
rim and around the tire and the chain was bolted together.  Then a clip on
chuck was put on the valve stem befor the compresser was turned on.  The rare
times the rim would fly off the chain kept it from going any where.    The
couse of most rim failures was not wire brushing the rims clean befor
assembly, and NEVER lube the the ring or the rim.   Bill P.
