Photo's are simple with Apple,  Using OS X.   I am using 10.3.7 myself.
To start with connect your Camera to your computer with the USB cable, 
turn on your camera.
IPhoto program should start.  The Import Photo screen should come up 
then click on Import.
After you get your photos into IPhoto move to the Organize screen and 
highlight the photo you want to send.
Next, move down to the EMail button across the lower part of the IPhoto 
screen and click on that button.
The "Mail Photo" window will pop up and you can choose the best size 
for your message.
Click on the "Compose" button and your Mail program will pop up so you 
can address your letter and add a message if you want.
Hit Send and sit back...  As they say " It's in the Mail"
