In my shop you just need to know the steel wheel is on the right and aluminum
on the left. Yes a cutting wheel will work just go lightly and let the wheel
do the work, use very little pressure. The little bit of aluminum dust is no
big deal.
To me that's less of a bother than getting drill shavings in my shorts.
