[VAL] Re: VAL Digest V2 #86

I had a 1970 model with the same problem, I solved mine by breaking out the
inside window, this must be done carefully, first I removed the plastic
shroud around the glass, using an electric drill I started drilling a 1/8"
hole at the bottom corner of the inside glass, drill at a low speed, the
drill is used to weaken the glass at that spot, the drilling will take some
time because they are not made to drill glass, the drill will make an
indentation in the glass, using a center punch with a point smaller than the
hole tap lightly until the glass shatters, be careful of flying glass. after
glass is cleaned up I used caulking to fill the gap between the remaining
glass and frame, after caulking dries replace the plastic shroud.
