[VAL] RE: Some winter time reading....

Hi Bill,
I have all of those except the new Keister book (Silver Palaces). I
keep a list of Airstream & vintage trailer related books that I
recommend on a page on my website:
http://vintageairstream.com/rr_reading.html

Those that I find lacking or to be a waste of money don't make the upper
section (the Recommended Reading part). The Ready to Roll book is not
Airstream per se, and I would recommend to include "Travel Trailer: A
Visual History of Mobile America" on your list too - even before the
Ready to Roll book. Also, make sure you get a subscription to the
Airstream Life magazine. I can attest that more great vintage content
is forthcoming.

In order, my recommendations would be:
"Travel Trailer: A Visual History of Mobile America"
"Airstream Life" Quarterly Magazine
"Airstream: The History of the Land Yacht"
"Ready to Roll: A Celebration of the Classic American Travel Trailer"
"RVs & Campers 1900-2000: An Illustrated History"
"Managing 12 Volts: How to Upgrade, Build and Troubleshoot 12 volt
Electrical Systems"
"RV Repair and Maintenance, 4th edition (Bob Livingston)

Like I mentioned earlier, I haven't read the new Silver Palaces book
yet, so it will fall in there somewhere. I do have one extra copy of the
Livingston book I'll sell for $18.00 including the shipping.

Little known fact for all you VAList'ers. You can help support the cost
of running the VintageAirstream and Archive website by initiating all of
your Amazon sessions by starting from my Reading Section website page:
http://vintageairstream.com/rr_reading.html

Click on any Amazon link - you don't even have to buy that particular
book. Amazon then sends me a small credit for each item the buyer buys,
not much, but it does help defray the cost.

Thanks all,
RJ Dial
