Interesting article. Thanks for the link.
Since I do not have the fancy tire covers to match my awning, I use a couple
of pieces of underskirting like they use around mobile homes. I put a 2X2 at
the bottom to keep it straight and some soft vynle molding at the top. I
simply slide them up inside the wheel well to keep them in place. Works good
for me, even in high winds that we've gotten from the last few storms that
past by.
I also think that since they do not directly touch the tire, the covers do not
generate/transfer heat that a canvas cover would. And will also help the tires
last longer.
