[VAL] Re: VAL #321/ Pearls bottom problem

Patti,

Does "Pearl" ride low by design or because of bad springs? If its
the springs, a lift kit will fix the problem of the height not the reason.
Springs do wear out. You can have new ones made at any good
spring shop or they can re-arc the ones you have on the trailer.
Know that if the springs are shot, a re-arc will only last so long.
When putting on new springs, the shop should put new shackel bolts
and brackets/bushings. This is comimg from a person that has had many
old 50's and 60's cars with the same problem. New springs and bushings
are always a good idea. You will also find some sway will go away
as well with the new bushings.
