[VAL] Fw: Re:Toilet

Tom, thanks for your interest regarding our bathroom project: we dropped
the belly of our 1965 Caravelle, removed the subfloor from below, and took
out the holding tank and toilet. The original shower/floor liner is intact. We
would like to keep things in the same place as before, to look as much as
possible as it did originally. So we have a small sink on the left, shower drain
in the middle, and toilet spot on the right (as you face the back of the
trailer). We think it makes sense to replace all the drain fittings at one time,
preferably with the same brand to keep things simpler in the future.

We don't have a gray water tank (though we bought a portable one); we need
information on setting up a dump valve for gray water only, if that is
possible. The black water tank was under the rear bumper. We have the
dimensions to have a replacement tank built. Because it is small, we are
thinking of one of the super-efficient toilets that use only a pint of water
per flush, for the times we don't have hookups (for us, most of the time,
since we like remote areas). We think a ceramic toilet would be nicer (the
original was ceramic). But we would consider electric or incinerating toilets
if people have recommendations. All we have to go by at this point is the
RV catalogue.

We want to check with the experts before we make a mistake!

Thanks, Pete and Sue
