         Well, Mary, when one is getting close to the trailer, on the 
roadside especially, one is usually doing something else, not staring at 
the trailer.  And, especially on the newer trailers where there is no metal 
trim on the windows, they are not too visible when approached from the 
front or rear of the trailer.          Few of us deliberately walks into a 
window - hurts too much - and few of us are stupid.  One just either 
doesn't notice the window is open, or gets distracted with whatever he/she 
is doing and forgets the window is there, or simply stands up under 
it.  Also, senior moments occur.
         There may be an occasional alcohol-soaked head out there, but 
that's not the norm.
